//Perma became a lich when he was thirty-four years old. Since becomin’ a lich and vacatin’ to The Beneath, roughly two thousand years have passed.//

13. What des their voice sound like? (Is it high-pitched, husky, do they have an accent, do they have a stutter or some other speech defect, etc)

//Perma has a mature, deep but not intimidatin’, clear voice. It’s not deep in a husky manner but more smooth and controlled—pronounced. Unlike his brother, he is able to control the tone and volume of his voice fluidly. He has no speech defects and is well-read and well-spoken though he often converts to colloquialism. He tends to not pronounce the ‘G’ at the end of words of the present tense and drawls his words on occasion, which is considered an Icsian accent.//

20. What are their religious/spiritual beliefs? (This answer should go deeper than just whether they’re Catholic or Jewish or an atheist – if they follow a religion, are they a devoted or more casual follower? Do they believe in life after death, the supernatural, destiny, any superstitions? Were they raised religious, and how did that upbringing affect them?)

//In the universe, there exist a plethora of religions of various beliefs and practices but Perma is, by far, not a religious person. The orphanage that housed him as a child was not one raised by the church like many others. While not actively exposed to the various religions personally, he was aware of and had little to no interest in them. Though on occasion he’ll speak expressions or common exclamations from his original environment like, “By the heavens,” but that’s all they are—common exclamations adapted from his environment. Even taken from the orphanage under The Alchemist’s wing, Perma’s environment did not enforce or influence religious beliefs onto him though they were more commonly present. Especially bein’ taken into the study of Alchemy, any conviction toward religion would have been dampened. The “supernatural” was simply evolution and mutation of creatures through means of Alchemy or Magic. (This gets into a deeper subject of the worldbuilding of the universe.) Superstitions were just superstitions, ceremonies done in response to a happening that if closely observed can be explained via patterns. Magic is rooted in science and energy in his universe but I won’t get into that today. Perma, however, is a very open-minded and accommodatin’ person and would entertain the religious spiels of others rather than mock it. Since becomin’ a lich, he’s discovered there are a lot more facets to the universe than he originally knew and prefers to keep doors open.//

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?

The sentry had been standing outside his outpost, leaning against it languorously, when the Shade—that’s what he had taken to calling them—had suddenly appeared before him. It stood just a few feet away, its figure distorted and obscured by the density of shadows that made it. He didn’t know what these creatures were or were supposed to be, only that they showed up on their own whim, asked him questions or tell him nonsensical things, and disappeared soon after. Sometimes their words became garbled as they spoke and he’d be unable to decipher them. Surprised—not seeing one for a while approach and speak to him—he almost forgot to respond.“You know, I probably shouldn’t tell you weird entities anything but it seems like you can’t exist here for long so I’ll entertain it,” Sans stated, knowing how short-lived these creatures could be having experienced their interference before.“It was gettin’ a little boring bein’ out here all day anyway.” He had been standing outside for only a few minutes, having just gotten to his post. ”Most important event of my life so far...” ”I guess, guardin’ this post. Phierre seemed to think it was important for me to get up on time and ‘actually do my job.’” Sans put both hands in the air and proceeded to make air quotes with his index and middle fingers, mocking his brother’s words. He adjusted himself, leaning further back against the wall, shimmying his shoulders with a child-like sass. He pointed at the wall. “I’m feelin’ very important right now. I’m supportin’ this wall.”

//He has, on multiple occasions, worn a flower crown. Though it’s usually someone else givin’ it and placin’ it on his head. He’s never done so himself. Perma’s relatively chill with others dressin’ him up, especially if they’re his own children. He’ll go along with it for the hell of it.//

29. Do they use their body, mind, personality or force to get what they want?

//Perma is the type of character whose methods change accordin’ to the situation as he has a lot of wisdom and experience, though he is at a disadvantage—arguably hopeless—with more modern issues as he has been stuck in the past for a long time. So it’s kind of dependent on the situation and what it’ll take to get what he wants. He doesn’t really desire a lot though, bein’ a man who enjoys simple livin’, but the most notable methods he uses out of the three is his mind and personality. He’ll often play the role of the ignorant or jester for a lot less serious things while he also plays mind games when he is in a combative situation.//

15. What’s the weirdest thing that has ever inspired you to make or pick up a muse?

//So a lot of my characters can be inspired by simple personifications of inanimate or inhuman things. Name it, animals, coffee mugs, plants, phones, and so on and so forth. I’ll build, build, and build on it.

I supposed one that I considered pickin’ up—but never did due to its eccentricity—was a pole I named “Bob” and personified when I was still a Freshman in high school. He had grey skin with flecks of white and green waterproof hair, very muscular and sturdy, constantly shirtless with pants and a handkerchief hangin’ from his belt loops. He supported the canopy at the backside of the campus.

//Perma prefers to completely rely on his magical abilities rather than any physical and traditional weapon. He often utilizes his frost magic to create pseudo weaponry—usually in the form of projectiles—when engaged in combat while also usin’ the environment ‘round himself to his advantage. While he has learned to fight with a sword, at best, his swordsmanship is average.//

//He was the cause of his mentor and surrogate father’s death.//

017. When does your character think that violence is justified or deserved?

//Perma prefers to stay out of violence and conflict, evading it whenever possible. However, if it is clear the opposing force has no intention of stoppin’ he believes in pushin’ back with the same force if not greater to subjugate the adversary. It largely depends on what kind of violence is used and what it seeks to achieve. If it is used to fight fire with fire then he is completely alright with it.

Also, when it is a means to an end. Perma is the type of character who will do what is necessary regardless of his feelings and morals.//

022. What is the most beautiful thing they’ve ever seen? 

//When Phierre was born. He had never seen something as warm and as emotional as the bond between a new mother and child. It was a tie he never got to experience for himself but it made him happy to see that Phierre had that kind of love in his life. Perhaps this is why he considers family so strongly.//

//Strippin’ someone of their humanity and their identity as a person, skewin’ their image of themselves into something unrecognizable.//

//Things like:

“By the heavens above.”This expression is commonly used by the occupants of the underground where it can signify surprise, disbelief, or exasperation.

“Nothing means something.”A personal expression said by Perma himself. He’s often said this whenever he is in an intimate conversation with someone who tries to dismiss their problems as “nothing.” He’ll often try to subtly coerce the individual to vent to him by sayin’ this as a sort of open door.//
